Client outsourcing platform, sole backend engineer · 2026
What it is
An internal platform for running an outsourcing business: inbound leads and discovery calls, clients and contracts, the talent roster, attendance and timesheets, meetings, and task tracking. I built and own the backend.
Things worth pointing out
Eight domains, one codebase
Lead discovery, clients and contracts, talents, attendance, timesheets, meetings, task tracking and a form builder. Each app keeps its business rules in services.py and its reads in selectors.py, so views stay thin and the rules are testable on their own. 303 tests across 47 modules.
Dynamic form builder
Operations can build a form from a typed field catalog and publish it behind a scoped access token, so client offboarding surveys and talent feedback forms go out without a code change or a redeploy. Responses map back onto real model fields through a field mapping step.
Shift-aware attendance and timesheets
One record per talent per day. Worked seconds are the clocked span minus break, and the status of present, late, overtime, leave or absent is derived from the talent's shift at clock-in and clock-out rather than stored by hand. Every record then goes through supervisor approval.
Deployment
Separate Compose stacks for local, dev and production. Gunicorn runs 8 workers with 4 threads each, so a container handles 32 concurrent requests.
